When you create an account and use the app, we collect:

- Volunteer Data: Hours logged, event registrations, committee assignments, badge achievements, and check-in/check-out timestamps.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, push notification token, and app usage data for improving performance.
- Location Data: Only when using QR check-in at events, and only with your explicit permission.
- Camera Access: Only when scanning QR codes for event check-in, and only with your explicit permission.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To manage volunteer scheduling, hour tracking, and committee coordination.
- To send push notifications about shift reminders, hours approvals, committee updates, and earned badges.
- To display your name and role in committee messaging channels.
- To generate anonymized analytics for East Texas State Fair staff to improve volunteer programs.
3. Information Sharing
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
- Your name and volunteer hours may be shared with East Texas State Fair staff and committee leads for coordination purposes.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our volunteers and community.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.
- Push notification tokens are stored to deliver timely alerts and are refreshed automatically.
- We retain your data for as long as your volunteer account is active. You may request account deletion at any time.
5. Your Rights
- Access: You may view all personal data we hold about you within the app.
- Correction: You may update your information at any time through Edit Profile (except email).
- Deletion: Contact us to request full account and data deletion.
- Notifications: You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for volunteers aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 without parental consent.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
8. Account & Data Deletion
